As part of the firm’s growing Data & Digital Engineering division , we are seeking experienced Model-Based Systems Engineers (MBSE) to support major Defence programs. These roles will help design and implement the frameworks, models and data environments that underpin large-scale platform design and sustainment programs — spanning requirements engineering, configuration management, and model-based systems design. Working alongside respected industry leaders and subject matter experts, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality consulting outcomes, building trusted client relationships, and contributing to the ongoing growth of the firm’s Defence technology practice. More broadly, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the building of a new AI and Data product development group under the tutelage of a renknowned and successful industry heavyweight. Key Responsibilities Support Defence and Government clients in the design and implementation of MBSE and digital engineering frameworks . Develop and maintain digital models, configuration baselines and data management systems . Apply systems engineering principles to requirements capture, traceability and configuration control . Collaborate with partners to integrate modelling and data environments (e.g. Siemens Teamcenter, Cameo, Sparx EA, Capella). Act as a trusted technical advisor , translating complex modelling concepts into actionable insights. Mentor junior consultants and contribute to practice development and thought leadership in digital engineering. Ideal Background Experience within Defence, Defence Industry or Federal Government in one or more of: Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Digital Engineering / Configuration Management Requirements or Data Management Systems Architecture / Platform Design (Naval, Aerospace, Land) Familiarity with tools such as Siemens Teamcenter , Cameo Systems Modeler , Sparx Enterprise Architect , or similar. Strong understanding of Defence engineering frameworks and stakeholder ecosystems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Systems, Software, Mechanical, Electrical or related). NV1 Security Clearance (or ability to obtain).
